Scores as shown on Trustpilot, on the 23rd of September, 2026. These change as new reviews come in, so if a figure is out of place, tell us and we will correct it.

What usually decides it

A profile with a handful of reviews and a profile with dozens cannot be compared on the score alone. Ask the same questions of both firms and read the answers.

Why review counts are uneven

Review counts are uneven for reasons that have little to do with quality. A firm that asks every family for a review has hundreds; a firm that never asks has a handful. So when the two counts are far apart, the score is not the comparison. The answers are. A small profile is a reason for a question, not a conclusion.

The questions that replace the score

Ask for a written figure on the first call and what it covers. Ask when you pay. Ask for the name of the person handling the case and whether you can ring them directly. Ask where your loved one will be, and whether you can visit. Then ask how many cases the firm handled last month to or from the country you are dealing with. The answers, side by side, are a fairer comparison than two numbers.

Reading the reviews you do have

Where a profile has reviews, read the recent ones rather than the score. Look for the things that matter in a repatriation: whether the figure changed, whether the same person answered throughout, whether the family was told which chapel of rest was used, and whether the timing given at the start held. A review that mentions none of these is a review of the funeral, not of the repatriation.

What the figure should include

Collection, hygienic treatment, the coffin, the transport, the documents in both countries and any consular fee. Ask which of these are inside the figure and which come later, and whether the funeral director at the other end bills separately. A figure given as a range is a starting point, not a quote.

Our answers

The answers are on this site. The figure is written down on the first call and is the figure on the invoice. One specialist takes the case throughout. The chapels of rest are in London and Nottinghamshire, and most European routes go by road in our own vehicle.

Before you decide, read what to look for before you choose, the seven questions to put to any firm, and the two guides behind them: how to choose a repatriation company and how much does repatriation cost from the UK.

How body repatriation works, step by step

Call us at any hour. We tell you when each step is done, before you have to ask.

  1. The first call

You tell us where your loved one is. We tell you what it will cost and what happens next. It usually takes about ten minutes.

  2. The paperwork

The death certificate, the consular authorisation and the certificates the carrier needs. We obtain all of it, at both ends.

  3. Care and transport

Hygienic treatment and a sealed coffin. Most cases travel by road, and by air only where the road is not possible.

  4. Arrival

By road, we drive on to the funeral director you have chosen, or to you. By air, collection at the destination is an optional extra.

One price, agreed before anything moves

What it costs depends on the country your loved one is in. We give you your figure on the first call.

You are invoiced what we quote

The figure we give you on the first call is the figure on the invoice. Nothing is added while your loved one is in our care, and nothing is added afterwards.

Not every repatriation is a standard one

When your loved one needs an urgent collection, usually from a home: the estimate covers collection from a hospital or mortuary. Tell us where they are on the first call and the written quote includes it.

Three families, in their own words

“We were so worried about the process of getting my mum safely back home to Slovakia, but every detail was handled with care, compassion and professionalism.”

Sofia Bartkova

“Their pricing was competitive and the process was incredibly fast. What stood out most was the attentive and caring staff who spoke Italian fluently.”

Genovesi

“We had to repatriate my father from England to Bulgaria. Sebastian and his team were very helpful, and treated us with care and sympathy during the whole process.”

At

Questions families ask us

It tells you how the families who left a review felt afterwards, on a date we show. It does not tell you what the figure covered, when they paid, or who they spoke to. Those are the things a repatriation turns on, and you find them out by asking.

The same seven questions, in writing: what the price covers, when you pay, where your loved one is cared for, what happens if there is insurance, road or air, who you speak to, and what you sign. They are set out on the comparison page, and we answer all seven there.

Treat it as a few families’ experiences rather than a score. What you can do is ask the firm the seven questions on the hub page, ask for a written figure, and ask for the name of the person who will handle your case.

That the firm is new to asking for reviews, or new altogether. Either is a reason to ask more on the first call, not a reason to rule the firm out before you have spoken to it.
